Jeff & Ash
It’s every designers dream and nightmare when it comes to designing their own wedding invites. You are your own worse client. I had a lot of fun designing the look and feel for our wedding in 2016. The hand drawn word mark shown above was one of my favourite design elements.
Save the date
A great Save-the-Date is the start to any great wedding! We choose to feature our two fur-babies to finally announce our engagement. Each envelope was sealed with a wax golden seal to fit with the gold and coral theme.
Rustic Charm
We were set to be wed at a beautiful apple orchard and cidery in Cobble Hill, British Columbia. The cidery had large restaurant designed to look like a quaint rustic barn with a large outdoor patio. Our entire wedding theme was centred around the rustic outdoor venue. The invitations were printed on recycled kraft paper, the texture to be reminiscent of wood. The only use of colour is the bold black strips of ink. The imagery was meant to be clean, simple and hand made.
beating the heat
Getting married in August means dealing with the heat. To keep our guests informed with the timeline, the wedding party details, and to keep them cool, I designed the wedding program to double as a hand fan. They were a huge hit throughout the day and night!
Let your love grow tall
For our wedding give aways we decided to keep close to our theme. The outdoors. Jeff and I both had a passion for hiking, camping, and spending time outside. Inside of the more traditional wedding favour we decided to give each of our guests a tree to plant in our honour.
